1980 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Conversion
2000cc Aircooled Engine
4 Speed Manual Transmission
12V/120V Refrigerator
5 Gallon Fresh Water Tank with hand pump sink.
Propane tank and working two burner stove.
The pop top is in great shape and doesn't leak anywhere.
No cracks/nicks in the windshield.
New JVC CD Receiver with AUX input and USB, all four speakers works great.
Rear reading lights work great, as does the kitchen fluorescent.
Rear Double Z Bed is in awesome shape, as are the front seats and upstairs double bed.

See an entire album of the van at http://www.yogile.com/jrgdcpou#41m

This Westy has served us well but it's time for it to go to a new home!
We drove this to YNP a few weeks ago for it's first trip of summer and it drove beautifully with an average of 20 MPG. The pop top is in great shape, and the upholstery and mattresses are in great shape. I just had Auto Stop replace the fuel filters, spark plugs, wires, vacuum hoses, intake gaskets, air filter, battery, and starter. It starts every time and shifts smoothly. The propane stove works incredibly well as does the pump for the sink. The van has been repainted and only shows a few small surface rust spots. The fridge is an electric model, and not the crappy propane stock one.

The Bad:
It needs a new battery isolator and auxiliary battery.
Cabinet trim is peeling a bit.
Water tank has a leak.
Rear bumper is slightly bent.
Front bumper is missing the drivers side end cap.
Steering column cover is broken.
One hubcap decided to leave us on our last YNP trip.
The drivers side visor hook is missing.
The fuel gauge is wonky. It shoes full down to 3/4 of a tank and then drops to empty.
CV Boot has a tear and needs replaced.
Drivers side door speaker is missing.
Brake master cylinder leaks a few drops on trips.
Rear tires have good tread but are a bit dry cracked.

You can view the van anytime, just contact me. We'd like to see someone else using this for summer!
E-mail, text, or call.

Ever run the m tag? type 253-xxx should be marked in drivers side door jam.

I was never able to actually verify that it is a true Westy Forrest. It has a lot of Westy parts including the top. However, the side vents and hookups do not make sense. I would assume it's a custom built one because of several things. It does have all of the same features as a Westfalia though!

It sure does. It literally has everything a Westfalia does, sans the shitty propane fridge.

Right on, I agree that it has the same features as a Westfalia (bed, sink, stove, cabniets). But is it a real westy? No i don't think so. Interior is wrong. The top is correct. M tag would reveal all. or the westfalia tag in rear interior. Tell ya that my 78s electric fridge works damn good, will make ice. Has what i think is call a ammonia evap style cooling system.

Still would make a great camper, with tons of potential for swaps with vanagons. The color-code is same as mine so i kinda like it. Looks good too.
