Most of you have probably seen this on the Vortex, but wow, I'm in love.

- VW claims a top speed of 202 mph
- 6.0l W12 12-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine mounted in the back seat of the GTI
- 650hp and 553 lb-ft. of torque (!)
- with the flared fenders the car sits over 6 feet wide and only 4.6 feet tall
- 19" wheels with 295 rear rubber and 235 front rubber
- the fenders are flared 3.15" at the rear

This is interesting

One of our contributors was at the unveiling of the 650hp twin-turbo W12650 concept GTI at the show. He had a chance to talk to some of the VW representatives on hand at Worthersee and they told him that the W12-650 shows what a potential World Rally Championship Golf/GTI would look like as VW would like to get back into WRC in the future. VW representatives also mentioned the possibility of actually building and selling about 100 W12-650 GTI models at approximately â‚¬90,000-â‚¬100,000 each to help fund the WRC race program.

1st, it would be freaking awsome if VW entered WRC, with a VW not a Skoda.

2nd, 100,000â‚¬ = $134,300 :shock: guess I won't be getting one.
