Big Sky Euro

So since last Spring I saw this car sitting behind Town and Country by the skatepark. I finally found out through various people that it belonged to one of Ramrods good friends.

After talking to him we agreed on a price and I bought it shortly thereafter.

Went to pick it up, it fired right up but some dumbass had taken the time to steal the alternator pulley off of it while it was parked so I didn't drive it home. (They left the belt and everything, just no pulley.)

So with the help of Matt and Brandon we towed it to the car wash and then home.

Upon further inspection the head was cracked from over-heating due to a bad fan! So I threw in a 1.8 I had laying around and put it all back together.

Well after further examination it's not going for no $600 and it looks like I maye be driving it over the winter. It's in great condition and just needed a bath and some major cleaning. Todays project is an alternator pulley because someone just so happened to help themselves to the existing one while it was parked.

Engine is in and running for small amounts of time but is out of timing and most likely has a vacumn leak somewhere. Also it sounds like the starte may be going out so I'll have to look around for another.

Engine is running great! New valve cover gasket this week and fixing an exhaust gasket then registration and insurance!

That's awesome, I wish I could aford to buy another VW, or just have the money to upgrade mine, how do you guys livign in Bozeman afford to live there plus buy your toys. I wish I could do it. Can't wait to see pictures.

Well we work hard and get way too many deals on cars!
Take today for example. I got another MK2 Jetta today pretty cheap.
I'll be fixing it up a bit and then selling it.

What do a lot of you guys do for work. I want to find a jhob out there. How much would you sell it for. I could always use another Jetta. I'll try post pics of mine.
