I lol'd at the people who tried to use their hand brake to drift around the corners. The only drifting they got was right into a curb.

I'm sure they can pull some awesome drifts now with all that camber...
It was alright though. The track sucked. I hated it. Knocked out a corner light because it was so rough.
BTW Aeron was a nub and kept yelling profane things at me.

meanie. j/k

Okay...since when do handbrakes = auto-xing? Is that what all these events are like? I don't want to do them if it's a big goof-off ricer event.

No, it was just a guy with a 240SX/Silvia conversion. You know the guys who then think they are the new drift kings? Well, he was able to get one corner really good, and then thought he could get the rest. Bang. Curb. Put it on a trailer and take it home. Idiot.
The other guy that hit the same curb(he actually hit it first, you would think DK would have taken notice) is just inexperienced and wasn't paying attention. He hit the front tire and it swung the back end around and he crushed the rear control arms on his Lancer (not and EVO)
I actually hit the same curb thinking I could add power sooner than I should have. I punched it too early and the car pushed waaaaay out and was headed for the same curb ( I actually hit it before anyone, so would would think that they would have all taken notice). I jammed the brakes, turned into the curb, put it in first gear, and she juuuuust barely tapped the curb with the left front tire. I cranked the tires back the way I wanted to go, and punched it, no harm no foul. Hardly even a scuff on my race tires. I will have to admit, I thought I would be doing front end work next weekend, but I got lucky.
Oh and spence, you won DSP yet again, and you left before the awards, yet again. I will send you down your plaque. Wh are you always in such a hurry to get back to Corvallis?
Jay, I want to also say that these guy in no way represent either our club, or our events. The Silvia guy ran normal on the first half of the day, and then decided to hang it out, and he got bit. The second guy is only on his 2nd/3rd event and is still learning. We run very safe and organised events, always get a ton of runs in, and have a lot of fun!

yeah! When I saw you heading for the curb I was like "ooooh shit!!!"
You weren't asking for it though. The guy in the Silvia or whatever it was asked for it and got it. While I was working on the track, I was talking to the guy that drives the pickup, and he was like. "If they keep using their handbrake they will hit that curb." And what do you know. It happened. :S
Cool. I dunno what to do with these things. ahah.
Why am I in a hurry? I dunno. I didn't think there was anything else going on.
