I want to make my Corrado more competitive at the autocross for next year.
Soo, I'd like some ideas on what mods/ideas I should do. Besides improve my driving.
So far, here is my list of stuff to add...
- Some nice sticky track tires, Falken Azenis Rt-615?
- Replace all the bushings with new ones
- front/rear strut brace bars
- MK4 Oil pan and windage tray
- Sway bar?
- CAI
- Fix the bumper melter exhaust tip
- Get some nice light rims? Or just steelies?
- Chip/Cams
- Racing Harness so I stop sliding everywhere w/4point roll cage
- Sell Corrado, buy Miata. j/k

Rear sway bar for the win. Best mod I have done to my car hands down. It is a night and day difference for me. I slapped it on and put it to full stiff and haven't adjusted it since.

Why the maybe on the Mk4 Oil pan? It shouldn't affect my class. I think it would be counted as an update/backdate item, would it not?
Plus, my engine will love me, baffles and a windage tray.

I was just thinking that an oil pan is not going to make you more competive, than say a sway bar setup. Are you getting any low pressure warnings when you race? If so, then by all means, get the pan/windage, but if you are looking to make the car autocorss better, then look eslewhere first. I think you would be able to update/backdate the pan just fine within the rules, and nobody is going to notice a difference in pans, that is for sure.

Nah, I don't get the oil light or anything. But it would be nice to have just in case.
I just put in the front control arm bushings, sway bar end links, and ball joints today. OMG what a difference

New car feel. Can't wait till I get it aligned then I can really see how much better it is.
The control arm bushings that came out were completely broke.. I'm amazed the car drove straight with the old ones.
EDIT: Maybe I can get into your class Aeron.

Good to hear!! I knew you could do it.
If the Corrado is eligible for STS(which I think it is), then bring it!! I know she is faster than you think!!

Maybe I'll let you run it around next year.
