Who has experience with fiberglass? My roomie attempted a sub box but gave up. I'm thinking of redoing my hatch with a false wood floor again [no grass] and molding some speakers I have laying around into it. I'm thinking of putting 2 8' woofers facing diagonal towards the front. Lemme draw up a picktar.

Alright I'm thinking of the 8" going in the corners and facing the direction of the red lines. Then I have two 6.5" with 2 tweeters with crossovers that will go where the other red boxes are. Then get a new 12" [probably mephis ;) ] and amp for the floor.

The current setup in my car is two 6.5 in front with tweeters, two 6x9 two ways in the rear all powered by a 650.5 amp.

Its a lot of audio but i have all the speakers laying around and I enjoy tinkering with audio/electronics.

Here's a hint....it's easier than you think.......and much cheaper than they charge at custom shops.....

Yea thats what I figured. My other roomate is a sailor and patches his boats a lot so he said he could handle it.

Wait, you want to run to 8" and then also a 12" you might get some sound prblems with that..........Unless you wanted to use the 8s as sortof a midrange woofer......

Exactly. I rode in a car that had 2 8's for midrange and it sounds perfect. Most systems the sub hits and you have bass and then the rest of the time is just highs, I hope to get some midrange in there.

Okay, we are on the same page here then. You can do it with some fancy crossing over and all that. Most of the time you want it up front though, not in back. But you kids over there listen to some wierd music, I suppose.....

Also, why are you running 6x9s in the rear, when you can have 6.5s in the rear quarters? Or is that where the by nines are.
