Anyone seen a custom 16V intake mani like this?

Seems like a great idea for going stand along w/out using ITB's. Better velocity than a log type for NA application and you can make the throttle body flange fit whatever is easier to use with your stand alone system. GM, Ford, etc.

Dammit, working now?

Found a little more info in another post, sent the guy an IM.

Custom equal runner intake with Ford Lightening throttle body running MS. You can see the 1.8T fuel rail. Seems like a great way to set up with stand alone.

Wow, that would be pretty cool. easier than setting up ITBs also, I would think.

Exactly. The motorcycle ITB's are very difficult to get running 100% on an auto application. Custom ITB's can work well but are serious $$$$$.

If you could get a custom mani done for $300-$400, combined with a couple Ford or GM pieces, fuel rail, injectors, etc, this could be pretty cost effective.

Plus it looks cool

For an NA application the lack of a plenum would be a concern for me.

Why is that?

I'm honestly curious, I don't know much about intake manifold design. This manifold concept looks like a tube version of the Ottengier 16V mani.

Here is another pic. Made by the owner, 42mm tubing, equal length. He doens't have it in a car yet.

That's a lot of green. I like it cause it looks like a header going in the wrond side of the motor! People already don't know what a 16v is when you have the stock mani off it, that would be even more fun. I would tell them it was a honda bike engine!

Yeah, it looks really cool.

Guy said he would make me one.

Don't know what kind of throttle body I would need, and I would want it made to run on a 50mm lower mani I think. You can see in the second pic how it connects to the lower stock mani.
