wanted: '83-'85 Scirocco (maybe consider Audi Coupe too)

No hurry but I'm on the lookout for '83 - '85 Scirocco and Audi Coupe if quattro. For Scirocco pre 16v engine only though. Looking for project car so still interested if not running.
It would go to a good home. I had one once and put 350K on it. Original Engine & 5spd were still going strong when I gave it to a friend after I gave up on cars for 7 1/2 years (long story). Not because of that car it was getting over 30 mpg and never stranded me once during dozens of cross country trips. And didn't have a spot of rust! I've never forgiven myself for getting rid of her and would like to get another one eventually.

Only quattro coupe I know of is in Polson, and I'm not sure if the guy would part with it. Check this thread for the whole story.

that post is what made me think of my Scirocco too funny. I know of a red quattro coupe that is on a side street near where I work. North side of Missoula. I doesn't look like it has moved in a long time and rear window is smashed out. Going to leave a note on it next week. There is also a custom blue Scirocco and at one house 3 or 4 Audi 4000 & fox quattros in that same neighborhood. I've also spotted a Black Jetta with "Bora" tags on it near there.

Hey man I can get you a MK2 Scirocco hella cheap down here. Just a shell though.
And welcome to the site! Go post in the "Who are you, what do you drive?" thread in the members section.

A quattro coupe would be such a cool project. I say go for it! Out of my price range for a project car though, too many expensive parts. I'd take one over a scirroco if I had a choice. Rarer and quattro, no contest. I had to move the audi out of the garage so my roomate could paint, of course it had to go around the neighborhood in the snow for a bit, so much fun

I can't get enough of the snow either. All last week I was getting in to work super early before they plowed the lots to have 1st crack at the fresh wide open ice and powder :-)

A guy put a twin turbo V8 in a coupe, uber cool.
