I have the latest version of VAG-COM as well as the HEX+CAN USB cable, and I can VAG up into the new MKVs. It is release 704.1. Tonight Digtalscott and I played with our cars. I turned off the damn seat belt chime and enabled my "8 light salute" when I hit the high beam. High/low HIDs, Inner high beams, factory fog lights and PIAA 520 foglights all stay on now with the high beams as well as flash to pass. Let there be light!

We made Scott's windows roll up and down with the remote, and made his fogs the DRLs, instead of the HIDs. I think we will both be researching more fun stuff...

Anyway, I have it on my work laptop that I keep at home, so I will have it at home all the time. You bring the beer, I'll bring the VAG-COM!!

wait... when you say make his fogs the DRL... does that mean there is hope for me to be able to just turn on my fogs with out headlights coming on with only the use of vag-com?

I'm about to order mine btw...

Rusty, I am not sure how similar the coding is between the MK5 and the S4. I would start searching the audi forums and looking for VAG-COM mods. See what other people are doing, and we can figure it out!

Rusty, our cars have to have the module behind the glove box modified. And in order to do the job properly you have to kidnap an 8 yr old so he can reach up there and get to it. I wish you could change it with only a laptop.

Ahhhh, THAT would explain why I see so many Audi owners stuck in the passenger side foot well whenever I drive by.

I like totally missed this thread last Dec. Allegedly I also have "emergency tail lights" as well, which is supposed to do something fancy and flashy with my tails when the ABS kicks in. I haven't seen it work - Aeron, we's gots ta take turnz sledding in my GTI before the ice leaves!
