IMO, paint it all black like it got dipped into a steamy heap of charred evil.

Save the carbon fiber for a snow shovel. You'll notice more of a difference shoveling snow from not having the weight.

Don't debadge it - make it YOUR badge. Mesh? Isn't that a honda thing?

Full Catback...is there a half or partial catback that I'm not aware of? Go all the way with a full exhaust if you are going to do it.

Beware on the 18's. I loved mine until I had to pay $300 more for a set of tires over the 17's. OK, I still love them, but ouch...

As far as I've seen, Eiback and H&R are the most popular springs. I'll probably be putting H&R Sports on my GTI this spring depending on which class it puts me in SCCA events.

my car is black and im going with the all black theme i looked at the 18's and the tire cost don't really matter i knew it would be expensive so thats not really the issue. i think im going to do the gli valences and a small spoiler on my trunk.

Woot on the black! I was kidding, but hell, you already have a good start! I like the GLI valences. I also saw a MKIV Jetta with an R32 kit on it that was shocking at first, but it looked simple and smooth.

Do you have a black headliner and A/B/C pillars? My GTI's headliner and all pillars are black, my MKIV was gray and the MKV Jetta is gray :\ Why oh why, VW, did you make gray headliners in predominantly black interior models?

Plasti dipping the stock grill might be a cheap alternative to get the all blackness. It's cool stuff and looks pretty factory. If it doesn't work, you can always buy the badeless grill anyway. Don't MkIV's have the little indent where the badge meets the hood? I'd rather black out an emblem on those cars than deal with getting a new hood, or modifying it so it's flat. It just looks odd to have the little cutout and nothing there.
