Revo Stage 1 Chip

Stopped by Rennwagen1's shop today to get the Revo Stage 1 chip "trial" software.

Car: Stock 2002 Audi A4 1.8T Q Auto (its still an Audi lol)

Positive: Amazing power band change! The difference is like night and day. The cars power starts way earlier in the power band. The 0-60 time is incredible, the car seems to scream off the line. Top-end power was increased a little bit as well, climbing through the passes was easier than normal. The car didn't struggle at all.

Negative: The shock to the drive line was very noticeable. The first 3 gears had a noticeable shock when shifting gears. Could be because I have an automatic transmission, maybe the trip chip could help out on that issue.

Overall: 4.5 stars out of 5, definitely will be getting this chip when I have the $$ for it. The software was only at 95% capacity but I'm 100% satisfied.

Thanks again Aeron! Hopefully see you in January for a more permanent change to the car

When I had the Revo 1.8T trial flash, it wasn't as smooth as the final stage 1 flash. It was smoother and more pulled harder, but I had a 5MT and not an AT. The worst feeling I had in that car was when I stopped to pick up some groceries on the way home (during the trial flash period) and I when I got back in the car and pulled out into traffic.... I leaned forward to compensate for the launch and the trial had run out so I about hit my head on the steering wheel.

I am glad that you liked it. I am not sure what do do about the driveline stuff, but maybe a tiptronic chip like you said. Also, like scott said, if (or when) you do the full tune, I can spend some more time with the fine tuning and do some datalogging on the car, to smooth it out more. I will be ready when you are!!
