Scratch, ugly, stock, whatever. I have a set of Hankook Icebear W300 tires that I want to put on a set of spare rims for the winter so I don't have to pay $50 in the sprint and $50 in the fall to swap tires.

Budget? Willing to pay shipping?

Budget depends on the wheels and conditions. I'll either pay shipping or arrange pickup. I'm trying to avoid paying $150+ per wheel to save $100 per year. It'd take 6 years to break even at that rate, so I thought I'd send out a feeler to see if someone had wheels with ugly curb rash or something. As long as they are true, I'm game.
The thing that brought this up is that I have an SCCA race 5-6 April, but I have to go over the passes to Seattle in late April, so either I race on siped winters, I go to Seattle on summers, or I get rims and make it easy to swap in my garage.

I may be jumping the gun for JR, but he just picked up another set of wheels and tires and wants to sell his current setup. He has an A4, with 17x7.5
et42 - tires could be replaced. Not the right size and ET, but if it's in your budget it may be worth it.
Other than that I'll keep my eye open for something.
Sweet Britches should be able to find something don'cha think? Prob has a set laying around.

Sweet britches in fact, does not have anything in the 18" flavor hanging around. He is a tru O.G. and doesn't believe in anything bigger than a 17". So there.

Candy Pants/Sugar Britches doesn't deal wheels and I've pimped him for them monthly. I'd be surprised to see an A4 with 5x112 unless it's the latest generation. The only reason I have 18" winters is because of Les Schwab's lack of stock and knowledge when I needed them this last fall. 5x112 seems to be a late model VW/Audi and Benz only pattern.
[rant]Les Schwab said they had steel wheels that would fit, I made an appointment the day before I had to leave and they tried to put on 5x100's because "Our records only show the 2004 and earlier models. We thought they would be the same." I had to go with 18" winters to the tune of $850 for all 4. They had a set of used rashed Benz wheels that fit, but they wanted $200 each + tires. Hell no. [/rant]
I figured it'd be easier to find ugly 18's than to find a buyer for 18" winter tires to buy rims/tires in 17 steelies. The Hankooks are truly awesome in the ice and snow though.

I do have a set of 17x7.5 et42 5x112 wheels available March 15 in Bozeman. I'm meeting the seller for a day at Bridger Bowl on the 15th.
So IF You're interested, I have a set for sale. they're not 18 but I'll bet you'll be able to find 17" winters for cheaper than 18" wheels

Plus you can turn around and sell your Hankooks.
5x112 is the bolt pattern on all Passats and MKV GTI's/Golfs, as well as all Audi A4s, A6's, and A8's as well as the R version of all the above.

Pics and a price?
Edit: And in what condition?

I haven't taken any pics yet. The one below is just a snap. You can see a curb mark in the front wheel though. They're all curbed. It doesn't really bother me though. They're all straight and true and clean up nice save for a couple face curbs. I'll get some detailed pics up here in the next couple of days.
I have five but need to hang on to one until I can scrounge up an 18" spare.
Price? I dunno...cheap. I'm just looking to offset a wee bit of the cost. If I can clear $300 or so I'll be happy. Shoot me an offer though *shrug* I just don't want to have to clear out ALL my savings in one shot. Or, you know...cash and an SPS3 or something. There's options we can work out

SPS3 swap into it makes it really tempting. I was looking for $200 for it, but I think I see them going for more on the whoretex. I'd rather see it go to someone on BSVW cheap though, or a trade. I guess I have a little time to think about it since you don't get your new rims for a week or so. If I could find a buyer for the 18" Hankooks (only 2K miles on them!), it would make the decision much easier so I could have both sets by the end of the month, which is where I wanted to be 6 months ago.
