theres a lot of play in the shifter, seems to be working all the way thru the trans tho. im thinkin somethin must be broken off in the trans?

OOOOOK...so... contemplating buying a 1969 walkthrough that is a bit of a frankenstein. it actually has a buick 231 engine in it w/the original trans adapted to it. apparently it is stuck in reverse. upon first hearing that one would assume that the buick v6 is just too much for the tranny, however ...
