Thanks guys for the words, I just have zero faith in myself and need to get over that I think I'm afraid of breaking something, but as soon as I can get a battery in my other Jetta I'm going to take the card off and trey to see if I can't get the door handle off. I need to get a Bentley for sure.

That's every damn tool you need to tear practically a whole VW apart.
Extra things you should buy are a 30MM socket for axle nuts, an 11mm wrench for fuel lines, a set of metric allen sockets, an 8mm tri-hex, and a 6"x1/2" extension.

This is the Bentley you need.

It's not a big deal man! I've done two engine swaps just this summer haha. You just need a nice jack and a lot of patience.

Good luck and have fith! We all started somewhere.
Personally my first major project myself was an '87 to '88 Subaru GL engine swap haha.

Thank you, i'm working on getting more tools by the way, how many piece tool kit is that, what sizes does it have and where did you get it? I don't want to waste money on stuff I need. And where is a good place to get a jack, I scored one at the dealership when I worked there, but I think it was recalled. I'd rather have a new one. I need to get stands too. thanksfor the advise, hopefully next year when I'm out there I can get together with you guys and watch and learn. right now I'm getting things organized to box up so when we list the house it will be easier. But hopefully this spring I can tackle the car too. I just want to make sure I have most of the stuff I need when I do.

I just bought this a few months ago for $100... Couldn't pass it up lol...

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1260 ... +Tool+Sets

Its the tool set I take with me on long trips and to the races. Since then it has about doubled in size due to specialty tools and what not.

I plan on buying a couple grand in snap-on stuff sometime too...

I'm goping to have to make a trip to Sears and look at their sets. Thanks looks like a very complete set. I have a jumbled set of sockets and wrenches but nothing complete.

Sears often puts their sets on sale around Christmas and Fathers Day...I don't know that you want to wait until June, but you might get a bigger set for the same money. Of course bigger is better.

I can wait, I mainly wanted it so I had it for my trip. I don't have the time or money for any big car projects right now. I just wanted to start by learning and reading.
