Thanks, we have a date set for the 28th to do it, I don't forsee any issues mechanically, I've done timing belts on a couple other cars, just not the diesel. I just would like to know that we can check the timing electronically when we are done. I gave him the web site for Ross Tech, he may just get it himself, but I'm not going to just except that, I'd rather have the bases covered. So anyone willing to meet-up the evening of the 28th to check timing if he doesn't get it?

I can probably swing by on Sat, but the 28th is a Friday, and we are busy those nights. Let me know if Saturday - some time during the day, or night could work.

Thanks again guys, I'll let everyone know hopefully a day or two ahead of time if we are going to need assistance that way if someone can help, you'd have a little bit of preparation and be able to let me know if it'll work. I'd probably try to get some phone numbers swapped around before hand to make arranging a meeting easier on the fixit day.

Too bad you couldn't make Saturday your day to change that belt - I could make it over and wrench, and I have some tools that may help out...i.e. tensioner pulley spanner wrench. If it would help out you can borrow it.

Are you doing new tensioner, h20 pump and all that too?

Yeah, I gave him ECS's website and he got the ultimate kit. I told him about the water pump issues, and he is also good about reading up on things, so we should have it pretty well covered.
