They look just like mk3 handles, but the corners are rounded. Sometimes I ask myself, why? They fit so closely that you wonder why VW didnt use the same handles between the two. Then you leave them on your car long enough to find out you cant open your doors at all. The link between the mk3 handle and polo handle is different in the slightest way, if you dont adjust the latch puller inside your door a few mm's, you run into problems.
