ok let me rephrase sorry i know its irretating so the 100's will bolt right in but it will make the front track wider and spacers in the rear will be needed to make it look right??

If you take the output flanges off your tranny ans swap them, you can use the 100 MM flanges. You may run into length problems, but I am not sure. I think you can use your 16v tranny and put 100mm flanges on the original axles and not have any problems. I would recommend the 16v axles if you can.

A friend of mine put a 16v into a Rabbit years ago, but one thing I do remember is that he had problems with the CVs. He used everything from the donor Jetta, trans, axles, bearing carriers, struts, etc.
I remember us looking at it and thinking that the A2 axles were too long for the Rabbit, so the CVs were more compressed than they were designed to be.
So if you can put the 100mm inner CVs on the Rabbit axles, that might be ideal, if not probably should put the Rabbit flanges on the tranny.

I am only 10 posts away from the back seat, so this post is probably worthless
