Tint Opinions

Post by ST33ZY P »

The Jet is going in for tint on Saturday and I am really up in the air about what % to apply. I have searched the Tex for hours, reading threads about dark and light tint and pros and cons. I am thinking right around 35% is going to be the darkest I want to go. Does anyone have any input on tint % and what works well for you?

If you have pics - I would appreciate it.

I have 20% all around and I am getting ready to pull it off. I hate not being able to see into my turn at night.

Plus I have decided I like the look of my car better without it anyway.

I agree that too dark of a tint could get very annoying but faded black interior looks like poop and I really don’t want my Recaros getting poopy.
I think 35% will give me UV protection without obstructing my view.

Agreed, I think if I did it again, I would do straight 35%.

Well, she's done. 35% was alittle darker than I would have liked but it looks really good on Black Magic Pearl. I will drive with it for a while and if I dont like it I will take it off and get something lighter.

And for some pics after I gave her a bath today:

Wow, that looks great Scott. I love the look of a nice black car with tint. Mine looks like a bumble bee...

Sure looks dark for 35% but I guess its just the dark car/interior...nice job anyhow.

Thanks yo!

Im so pumped to get back to MT so we can all GTG. I am thinking once I am settled, we should have a BBQ. Should be around the right time of the year to grill some steaks and drink some beers. I think we could get a nice gathering in Missoula. We could even show up alittle early in the downtown area and take up the street infront of the Rhino Bar. We could have a mini show and shine and a few beers - would be a great time. I will come up with something when it comes closer to July.
