I haven't decided exactly what path I am going to take on the engine just yet but am always open to ideas and suggestions from any of you.

If you put anything other than an 8v engine in there, I believe you will end up in XP or X Prepared. There is basically no restrictions in XP. by SCCA ruling you can update/backdate engines, but since the 16V/1.8T/VR6 were never offered in the Rabbit chassis in anyway, that is where you would end up. No big deal really, but depending on where you race, you can get up against some nasty cars. BTW my race rabbit will end up in XP also......VeeDubya wrote:I am thinking i'll run SCCA with it so I also need to keep in mind what class it will fall under when done.

Yeah, I figured I would fall into a harder class. That's ok though, I'd rather go up against some nasty cars than some weak ass cars. If I get beat i'd rather it be by the bestRennwagen1 wrote:If you put anything other than an 8v engine in there, I believe you will end up in XP or X Prepared.
