any one with non-ac 16v alternator help

Here is the deal. 89 golf gti, 16v with ac. I removed the ac, now the bitch is getting all the correct parts to get the alternator back in to place. Any one with a 16v with out ac could some help pics part numbers anything....what a pain in my ass :banghead:

dont quote me but i believe you can use non-AC 8v parts.

Me and IBGOLFIN used a grinder to cut down the oem alt bracket then you gotta grind down the bracket from the side so the alt sits in there the right way. then you may or may not have to modify your adjusting bracket. its a pain and it looks like shit but it does work. im not sure if it does work never tried, but the bracket the top of the accessory bracket bolts to, tight where the head meets the block, i think you can use an 8v alternator there but the intake might be in the way.?

Yeah, I thinking that i am going to need try make my own, it would be cool if anyone with a non-ac 16v could give me a hand

get an abf alternator setup. 120 amps, no stupid adjustment issues, just need a proper crank pulley, and a vr6 waterpump pulley
