I do however have some updates!!

I hate pulling interior crap out! I was being as careful as I could with the dash as it's pretty much mint and would like to find a new home for it.
Here is the interior before starting......

And so it begins.......

I hate pulling dashboards!

The AC assembly that someone had added aftermarket

Got all the heater and AC crap out.....

Both seats out and all the non-firewall wiring removed.....

It still amazed me how rust free this 25 year old car is!! I

Effin nasty crap under the rear floorboard carpet!!

Carpet finally out, both front floorboards are dented up a bit from previous owners not knowing where/how to use a floorjack on a VW

Still no rust yet though!

As she sits tonight after the interior delete

MK2 swaps isnt that bad, i got it down to an art if the mounts are the right ones, and it looks like his arent... so it might take a little longer. that sucks the roll cage is welded in instead of bolted bases....is it staying in? and working around it?

I won't mind putting the MK2 dash in even if it's a pain because it's a upgrade.

Roll cage is welded in and I really don't have alot to do to the rear anyways so I won't mind working around it. This is not going to be a show car by any means so I am not too worried about the ass end.kompressorgolf wrote:MK2 swaps isnt that bad, i got it down to an art if the mounts are the right ones, and it looks like his arent... so it might take a little longer. that sucks the roll cage is welded in instead of bolted bases....is it staying in? and working around it?
