Two bad speakers
So I have two bad speakers in the wagon, one in front, and one in back. I was wondering if with the monsoon system I can add new speakers or if I have to remove the whole system. also I want to get an aftermarket deck, can I just plug it in or does the monsoon system interfere with the new hardware. Just curious if anyone knows. Because if I can just remove and install I'd put in a new deck and some new speakers.

I can handle that. You can do it either way. You can replace the speakers, with either aftermarket or factory but you would have to buy two new pairs, if you went aftermarket, since one is in the back and one in the front. You might be surprised what the dealerr wants for new OEM ones. Sometimes they are not that expensive when you compare buying two new OEM speakers to 2 sets of aftermarket speakers.
You can replace your OEm headunit with an aftermarket one and interface with the monsoon system with an adapter harness. Depending on requiremens, you may have to get an HU that has at least front and rear RCA outputs so that you can properly drive the monsoon system.
I have seen people do it both ways. With clean HU power, you can make the monsoon system sound pretty good. Aftermarket speakers would be icing on the OEM cake. By replaceing the whole thing I can make your car sound awesome. If it were my car I would do it this way
1. Replace head unit
2. Replace factory speakers, but utilise the monsoon amp for now
3, when I got tired of that, add aftermarket amp(s), power the speakers with that, bypass the poopy monsoon amp
4. add subwoofer(s) and appropriate amp
5. drop the windows, slide the sunroof back, crank it up and roll.

I like your option, I'd love to go aftermarket, but approximatly how much would it cost to buy new head unit and new speakers. I already ahve the sub, is there a package deal you could offer me. I'd be willing to get it from you. I'm not looking for competition sound but not junk either. and eventually I want a bigger sub and amp. Just shoot me a price for equipment and install or maybe some one here could help me install but I'd prefer to buy the stuff from you.
