QuI don't know if you guys have found a better way to get rid of the old gas, but since I have played with the older vw's that have sat, A ten pound bag of kitty litter will soak up a lot of the gas and it is cheap. Then you can easily trash the kitty litter.
Any other ideas?

Depending on how much of an environmentalist you happen to be I know of a few rocky construction fields where the gas will mostly evaporate and not harm anything at all! That's what I do.

Walmart will take used oil and gas for free as long as it's less than 5 gal.

you can allways save it and make great fires with it smells for a little bit but it works. i just allways siphon it out then flush with new gas and just keep replacement fuel filters with me and it allways seems to work just fine that way

I would say you could ask Jarred(G60pig) but the EPA may come knocking on your door and/or you'd never see birds around your house again!
