Then this happened, an unfortunate high speed meeting with some steel poles: 0520021522 by ValveFloat, on Flickr
It was totaled, and bent beyond any repair I was willing to have done. 964InGarage3 by ValveFloat, on Flickr
So I was searching for a new car, and I was lucky to find a grey '91 in Great Falls.
It took a bunch of work and part swapping to get it on the path to being the car I want it to be. P1020934 by ValveFloat, on Flickr
Last VW I had:
Before that: That exhaust tip is a Foster's can

I had a '77 Bus, but I have no pics of it.
I traded the .:R for this 911.
It was all part of a plan that I really didn't think would happen so quickly.
The '68 911 was pretty much sitting in the garage not being used at all, and the R was only coming out for AutoX and track stuff, so I thought why not combine the two into one car that is more focused for AutoX and track but more refined and reliable than the old 911.
And this car is it. '93 911 with coilovers, RS swaybars, r-compound tires, simplified interior, etc.
Its going to be a long winter...
Ho lee shit Joe!!!! Talk about raising the bar!!!!!!!!! Nicely done. That is one beautiful rig. Don't know what else to say really.... wow... Someone got a great deal on your .:R too. That thing was sooo well taken care of.
