well finally had some time and on a perfect day so i stripped the rabbit down, doors and fenders off, turns out, the rust in the door jambs isnt that bad, i had this rotted out picture in my head with what the door is doing, it looks like the hinges were welded in from behind, there is a flange around the hinge, i think the welds just broke, with a punch and a hammer i couldnt find any soft spots it all seems very solid, with all the carpet out there is a touch of surface rust on the shifter hump but no holes nothing, so i decided that i will start my project after all.
so i want to thank all for keepin their eyes and ears out for a rabbit, but im a vw lova, so even if you see more rabbi's hit me up thanks, ill start a build thread soon enough..... stay tuned
things are looking up....

well that is good news!! I know how it is to get all ready for a project like that and then have the wind taken out of your sales in a big way. Glad to hear that you will be able to start afterall!!
