So ya, Took my transmission apart today, and.. well, here's the good and bad.

Good: Syncros are fine. :banghead: Every gear BUT third is fine.
Bad: Fucked bearing(of course, the one I forgot to order). Third gear is trashed. Never seen anything like it...

So got all the new bearings installed, except for the one that is in transit. All the shafts assembled and ready to go back together. Should be back on the road next week!

Now, to decide if I want to paint the case or not. I don't think I will since it will probably chip away and look shitty.

Weee. Put the transmission back together today and stuck it in the car. The transmission functions perfectly so far "knock on wood". No gear noise, this one actually showed me how loud the other one is. This one is silent! Shifts smooth as silk too. I am using VW OEm Fluid this time. G 060 762 A2. For my first transmission rebuild, not to bad id say. Also, the .744 TDI fifth is perfecto. <3 I will snap some pics of the majority of the parts I replaced sometime.
