Re: Going Beyond Bolt-ons: The CBCGSXR1000 story
If I were you I would do two things first. 1. install your boost gauge, you need to know where you are at and what the boost is doing. 2. Get a wideband O2 sensor set up, or use a VAG-COM and log some O2 data. (1.8T's have wideband sensors, no? Spence?)
Where I am heading with this is that before you go much further you need to know if your reflash is working for you. With a reflash you are kind of stuck with what they gave you. With the number of external modifications you have made so far, an "off the shelf" flash may not be optimized for your set-up. With turbo engines a lot of power can be found with specific and proper engine management tuning.

I agree, you can get some solid gains from a custom ECU tune.

I had aeron revo stage2 it.
I dont think he did any custom things other then turning up my boost.
Do u know if he can custom tune them. I just need a gage pod.

I am not sure. I have heard that the GIAC X file is the most tunable but, I am not sure about the revo though.

Re: Going Beyond Bolt-ons: The CBCGSXR1000 story
There is tunability with the Revo stg 2 software, but without a boost gauge and sufficient dyno time, I erred on the side of caution and used tried and true Stg2 values, it should be possible to gain more power with some more time with it, and possibly on a dyno.
I had veen talking about getting dyno day together here in missoula, but nobody could agree on a day, so I lost interest in it. I can talk to Gomer's again and see what they would require as far as cars and what they would charge per car.
