One of my bulbs burnt out again - I am tired of continually replacing these every six months - also i would like the better lighting that the HID kit offers -
Mike what type of bulb did you put in your audi
was it an H7? or an H1? or?
How long did it take you to install them, I am looking on moving on this fairly quickly, the box says it takes nearly 1 hour to replace - did you find that time to be accurate?
what did you do to save time?

Thanks - im guessing ebay is the best place to buy these ?

If you have ever driven with a set of HIDs in projectors, you will know why so many people want them. :)

If you put HIDs in your reflectors I'll smack you with a trout. Those are the silverstars right? Didn't I tell you to talk to Aeron about a set of PIAA? They won't burn out again. I've been running mine for what...2 years now?

You need projectors so you don't blind everyone coming at you, and to actually project the light out onto the road. If you want projectors you can get ecodes - I think parts4vws.com has them.

Well maybe check eBay for vw/golf/gti projectors - Then get a kit from DDM and you are set.

Bear River - who is this guy. He sure had a lot to say about how we precive that the HIDs , put out more light. If you HID one side of a car and turn on the lights, you can clearly see the HID is brighter. He talks a lot about color spectrum, what spectrum of bulb is he referring to? he never says. When an HID bulb goes bad, they do warm up and look pink (at least 6k do). Bulbs don't last for ever but, nothing does. He is trying to jam a lot of science in there but, where did he get info that euro is changing their laws do discourage HIDs? We all know that HIDs are standard equipment on a lot of cars. As for all the light trickery, I don't understand why all HID equipped cars haven't crashed. haha humm very different opinion. I certainly feel like BWM, Audi, VW ect did research this before they equipped their production cars with these. I hope all of your night drives are filled with good clean light, however you get it. Happy Motoring.
