I spray tinted my tail lights last weekend, leaving the brake light circle clear. Instead of being "fruit punch red", it's more like a "black cherry red". It went really well until I clear coated them. I'm having a hard problem getting them to a glossy shine again. I used Krylon crystal clear acrylic gloss...about 6 light coats. The clarity is great, but it's still almost a matte finish.

So, I'm looking for input on how to make them glossy again. There are DiYs all over, but you know how some of them are....shady.
2007 Black Magic Pearl MKV GTI, 6MT, Revo Stage 1, Eibach Prokit sprints, and a lot of blackness.

Still selling Revo SPS3 unit for 1.8T/2.7T...any takers? PM me for details! I need money for stage 2!

From my experience with shake and shoot, to get a nice gloss surface you really have to lay it on. There is a very fine line between enough for gloss, and too much resulting in a sag or run.
You may want to smooth out the previous coats with some 800 or 1200 sanding before doing another coat. Another trick I use when the can is less full is to put in some hot water to get the pressure up, carefull though, you don't want to over-do it.

Ordered a new front bumper for the MK4 today. Don't think it'll be sprayed and installed by YNP though :\
Also ordered new front tires as there is no way in H E double hockey sticks i'd dare do that cruise on my slicks!
