Post by Mikewire »

Hey guys, I'm looking for a set of Thule 450 Crossroad feet to fit my Avant and a black cargo box around 16 cubic feet. Does anybody have anything out there?

Yeah it's called having two kids, a wife and realizing we pack too much sh*t to carry on our family YNP trip.

Hey we got a Thule Ascent 1600 for christmas this year. And that is what we bought for each other You can pack so much stuff in thatm that it is not even funny. When we went to Big Mtn this year I got,

2 Snowboards
2 pr snowboard boots
1 snowboard helmet
2 pr showshoes
2 pr snowshoe poles
2 pr gaitors
1 Pr skiis
1 pr ski poles
1 pr ski boots
2 cases of Kokanee
3 digorno pizza
9 pounds of bacon

And I know there is more than that I am forgetting. Also, the food was totally real. I packed the frozen stuff up there when we went up, it was still hella cold when we got there, but it was january. I also got like 3 bags of ice in kalispell and put it up there also!

Thule Boxes FTW!!

Oh yeah, I got mine from REI when they were having thier 20% off winter sale. It allowed us to get the 1600 for less than the price of a 1500, and free shipping to any local REI store, which billings doesn't have IIRC.

Well find it on sale, have it shipped to Missoula, you come over here, and we chip your car for speed, and then install the cargo box for wind drag! It is a win-win situation!!

HAHAHA!! We were going up to Big Mtn for four days, and we had done all the shopping for the meals. 9 lbs was to make two breakfasts for 7 people while we were there. So you figure 9 lbs devided by 14 servings, is not that much per person. Bacon is good snowboarding fuel. I also had like 4 dozen eggs. We also had costco quantities of everything else. Oh, and we like bacon.
