MKIII VR6 Heat shield

Post by Darkside »

I have been thinking about putting a heat shield around my intake. I think Neuspeed and ABD both make one but, they were like 90 bucks. So I decided to make my own. Fist I mocked it up in cardboard and then I had my friend cut and bend a piece of aluminum. Here is it now. All I have left is another test fit and finishing :)

Awesome! That will look nice in that bay - are you going to paint it black?

Think your buddy could make one for an A4?

prob black :) I bet he could make another one. You would need to mock it up in cardboard, exactly how you would want it. I will ask him.

Did some test fitting and painted it black and used some leftover red silicone vacuum line for the top edge.
I will install it tomorrow morning.

Looks pretty cool. I'm interested to see what it will look like on the car.
