Revo stage 1 = awesomeness

Post by Mikewire »

REVO'd stage 1 yesterday....

All I can say is that if you have an Audi/VW 1.8T or 2.0T and you have been putting this off - do it.

I'm still getting used to the power gains and I think it's still getting used to the way I drive, but after only about 3 hours behind the wheel I can tell the software is getting stronger. As I pulled away from the house I goosed it a bit and when my gauge went above 10 (which is stock max) it made me go :o ....a little further down the road I saw my gauge hit 18, and hold. After a few runs on the highway and running around town it was boosting up to 22-23 and holding longer. My butt dyno can definitely tell there is more power in the lower RPM range (1K-2K) where with stock it was lacking a bit, and up higher after the turbo spools up it really kicks in.

With the tip, after the TC locks (midway or at second) it's rocket time, and in tip mode (with the TC locked full time) it's strong through the gear range including first and second. No problems with the tip shifting so far - in fact I think it feels better and is a little smoother. The AWD launch is awesome.

Overall I'm impressed and the flash really woke the little motor and turbo up! I'm still getting used to it, and enjoying driving even more. Thanks Aeron for the quick turnaround and communication, and thanks for humoring me with the counter guys Camaro question.

Dude the promo price is 20% off (until the 4th or something like that?), with a $100 drop a couple of months ago. Great price and worth it if you want to wake your motor up IMHO.

Glad you like your flash Mike :) As you know I am more of a GIAC fan (that is what we sold in OR) but it is great to hear people rave about a stage 1 flash. We would sell a package deal with a GIAC stage 1 flash, TT downpipe and exhaust. Customers would pickup their cars and freak out. Huge Smiles. That never gets old.
Mike is right if you have a stock car, software makes a HUGE difference, even more so with bolt ons. Turbo cars get the biggest gains but, NA cars benefit as well. I think C2 has NA programs on sale. As well as everybody else. Software these days is amazing. Get some

Thanks for the review Mike, and I am glad that you liked it! Looks like holding out a bit also saved you some money! Just an FYI for the 1.8T guys out there, with the 20% factory discount that is in effect right now, REVO Stage 1 Tunes are $319.00 as opposed to the new lower price of $399.00. Now is the time!! Call me!!
