I am getting a new filter because when i put the cai on the filter was old and used and dirty which is why the maf got dirty.. I did not clean it before hand and its a cheapo filter. SO i will get a new filter to solve that problem. I would like to get a dry filter if i could

If you filter is dirty on the outside, it would not have let dirty air into the motor. That is what a filter does. unless it has holes in it somewhere, it should still be flowing clean air, no matter how dirty it is. It may flow less air when dirty, but it won't flow dirty air. What you probably had was an over-oiled filter and the filter oil gummed up the MAF. That can happen quite a bit if over-oiled.

I've read on several accounts where people say to never use a re-usable filter period, due to the oil messing with the MAF. I suppose though, it's all in moderation. Most people who say "never" probably over oiled it.

I read that post. Very informative - I am probably going to do some sort of dry filter in a little bit, once i decide which one and that sort of thing.
I am going to take my SMIC out and see if there is excess oil in that. While i am doing that i will see if i can find the boost leak thats hiding out on my car somewhere.

I found out that when I flipped my DV that it was causing more problems. I turned it back around the right direction and re greased it. It boosts a bit better now.

Somehow I am burning my AMSOIL or losing it somewhere, I am low on it. I am going to send in the oil I have for analysis. It costs twenty bucks, and it will alert me to any issues i may be running into in the future. and sadly its black enough for me to do an oil change already. Luckily I already have the oil i need, but i will be purchasing the filter again.
Anyone need any AMSOIL products at the same time? Save on shipping =)

If you recall we paid the internet price no shipping, or at least I did.

=(
Smoke is back. Last night when i started my car, a whole bunch of white smoke was coming out of my car.. also when i got on it again it was doing the same thing...
turbo??

I am going to pull the SMIC off and look in it and see if it is full of oil, maybe would be a indicator.

So - If it is my turbo -
Where to go? K03S or KO4-001??
Aeron! do you have a chip upgrade for a K04-001?? Is it worth it to even do the KO4?

Does anyone have access to brand new K03S or K04 turbos?? Brandon??
