Hello Dubbers,
Just got my GLI back from the dealership today, the headliner is beautifully replaced...but now the key fob isn't locking or unlocking the car.
My google-fu was strong enough to give me the instructions on how to reset the key, but I can't seem to get it to work.
I have a spare key that works fine, I'd just prefer to have two working keys. Anyone have any ideas (short of taking her BACK to the dealership...as I'm sure they are tired of hearing from me by now)? Or anyone in Bozeman wanna stop by and give me a hand on this "30 second job".

Take it to a parts store and look for the little fob tester by the register, which will test the signal/battery. If it's not the battery then you may need to remote match in vag com. My $$ is on the battery

I can test it for you at VW, i have the tester at my desk, battery is like 5 bucks and ill put it in. if it was sudden, meaning work/bam/no-work it prob isnt a battery. might be a worn contact. bring by if you get a chance.

Its working fine now, I had it reprogrammed when I had the 60k service. Stellar work on the headliner BTW
