Post by Checkers »

I've been working on Tom's 91 GTI lately and here's the latest and most important thing we are tackling.
Looking for an entire Digi2 engine wiring harness!

unfortunately, you would need more than the cali ECU and harness, this is DIGI 2, the fuel rail harness would also be needed. but if its the whole cali DIGI 1 harness is should work fine, Digi 2 is batch fire injectors cali digi1 is sequential fire for best gas mileage, and it can run like stink, Matts 8v once upon a time was cali1 and ran great!, you could make a harness for the injectors but would have to know which pin was each injector. a simple ecu pinout would work a treat. I say strip every wire from the firewall forward, its too hacked to guess anymore, have him reach in his pocket a little deeper, get a head gasket kit, and tune up parts, refresh this pig and put in donor harnesses. wire up a simple thermo switch fan setup or original and be done. Teach him how to do this right too, so he can follow suit later.
