need some help guys and gals
ok everyone i need some questions answered please i need some suggestions on a good intake for an 01 1.8t jetta and some kind of engine management device for a volkswagen like subarus have cobb accessport if there is one that is. thanks everyone i love the site

Most intakes for the Jetta just sit in the engine bay - any filter on a stick type intake will just suck in hot air. There are some models that sit below the front bumper or fender but then you need to watch for deep puddles or you will hydrolock. If you have an FMIC that can help the intake temps, but I would say keep the stock box and drop in a K&N filter for the most flow and the least amount of heat soak and trouble.
For engine management, unless you have big turbo and are going to drag or track it with stand-alone engine management just start just a 4bar FPR and a chip. Talk to Rennwagen1 about getting Revo.

well its all info for my friend it has no mods and he just wants simple things right now. he is having me look for info b/c i am familiar with forums b/c i have a subaru and do all the forums. but i will tell him about the k&n drop in thats waht i told him but i am not familiar with vw so i new i could come on here adn get some good advice.
