I don't think its the hall though, cause it will pop that code out even when it isn't running. I emailed a dude with a VAG Com scanner in Wheatland WY so i'll probably go get it scanned after holidays.

it won't run at all with a bad hall sensor.

Well that is the thing, i can only flash the codes when the car is off (i dont have a VAG scan tool) so thats not gonna work.. otherwise i would scan it while running haha.

i got nothing have tryed some things on a 2.0 in the shop just to try and find you some help all i can think of is a cracked ditributer cap

Rotor and cap should cost less than $15. It would be worth that just for piece of mind. You might also look into the "Tune Up Kit":

I'll pass on the tune up kit =] i custom made a set of MSD 8mm wires and i got a set of bosch plugs. But i'll be gettin a cap and rotor once im back in wyoming.
