quattro > lsd. i think a diff would be in the works for above 500 horse. my bad i was thinking of the 2.0 FSI kit APR has. still, 280 is nothing to sneeze at. either way you go, i still want a ride :) ill trade you a ride in the rabbit.

Yeah for sure Brandon. lol. I like your setup though, standalone stuff is always sexy to look at. SO few wires. haha. And yeah, 280 isn't bad at all, considering that's 130hp over stock. But it looks like I'm gonna end up building a full motor at Stoney's place possibly, so I may just scrap the GTRS idea entirely and go bigger! Who knows! lol

yeah, i can make your engine bay smooth and wire tucked too, it just takes patience knowledge and creativiety. in all actuality, there is about the same amound of wires the go to the engine with standalone vs normal. my car has, the following all in there, knock sensor, TPS sensor, Air temp sensor, water temp sensor, injector harness, Crank position sensor, and Manifold pressure sensor. plus, all the wideband 02 stuff. your harness being an AEB engine code is relatively the same. at least im pretty sure yours is an AEB external water pump?

Im actually checking on buying an A4 myself, same model as yours, except its a 98 A4 quattro 5spd. hope i get it, need a good car bad.

Mine is an ATW. I have the same bottom end as the AEB just a small port head. But yeah i want a big port head for mine. It bolts right up honestly they're just expensive if you can find a complete one.

Edit - And most of the crap that's under my hood right now is emissions related and vacuum lines and such. I wanna run a catch can instead of all that PCV junk. That would get rid of a lot of unwanted clutter

thats the only thing that clutters a 1/8T and thats the shit that fails so often. there are so many check valves solonoids vacuum lines pcv lines that all interconnect its PITA each time i run across it at the dealer.

Yeah, I would LOOOOOVE to get rid of it all. I'm chasing a vacuum leak right now that's giving me a code for lean at idle. (PS, I hate vacuum lines now)
