Damn, so just got off the phone with Josh at TT to order the dist cap for the ABA block, all he had were a couple of used ones and he wanted $40 bucks. OUCH.
I need it though so I ordered it.

John, if you'd get your own phone i'd know who was calling and answer, instead you call me from strange numbers that I DON'T answer! lol

You are still running a dist and not coil packs right? Any advantage to the coil packs vs dist?

you wont have to change the points and roter with teh coil pack
. but that would concern alot more electrical work

Re: StaggeredMK4's MKI GTI Teardown & Build Thread......
the coilpack system doesnt really involve much more wiring, and even then its simple as shit. coilpacks are the way to go, that way the whole system is self contained. they are good coils too, you can run boost way into the 20's before you need an MSD booster added in. with a distributor, to adjust timing, you gotta loosen the two ten mil bolts turn the dizzy and hit it with a timing light. with coil packs, you hold the timing light in one hand, the SDS controller in the other push a button and watch it work. too easy trust this!
