VW live axle

Hey guys so the FSAE car that I've been working on sheared one of it front live axle off. We know the axle is from a VW but not sure which. Does anyone have access to junk (working) parts like this?
We managed to weld the bad one back together but would like to take a spare down to the race in case of additional failure. Please let me know, we leave this weekend! Thanks!

Do you have a part# so we can x-reference the year, make and model? I have a couple of A4 front axles you can have, but I'm in Billings.

I'm asking a dumb question: what is FSAE, and what is your project?

Ill try to dig a little deeper for the part number, etc. but we snagged the axle from a previous year and have very little info on it.

every year a couple (8) MSU students build a small scale formula car from the ground up for their capstone project. Design and build. We use a 600cc Kawasaki ZX6r engine. Have to head to work now, but will fill in with more details, pictures, etc. later.

Hey Mike one of our team members is in billings till tonight, and may be interested in checking out/snagging those axles, would it be possible to meet up with him? Otherwise are you coming down for the BBQ on friday? Looks like I may be sticking around till saturday or friday evening. Let me know!

Yup Rusty they came out of my A4 last weekend and they are just sitting in my garage - the only problem is that the inner boots are torn, but I bet you guys can deal with that somehow. Other than the torn boots the joints are still solid. Tonight would be fine - I'll be home if your mate wants to grab them.

BTW, I just sent you a TXT about it too.
