So can we rest easy knowing another GTI is safe now?

I wouldn't scrap the car. It will live on in better shape than it was in when I got it, it just may get a transplant at some time. My Scirocco is still waiting for a valver and if the other one needs too much work this one may end up in there. A VR powered GTI would be pretty cool someday, but as a driver for the winter it may get the 8 valve from the Jetta I'm parting.

VR is a fairly easy swap these days. Get a donor and give me a shout sometime.

I replace temp sender and fixed wiring on Oxygen sensor and it runs great. I am swapping in stock suspension for now to use as a daily driver. The H&Rs are up for grabs if anyone wants to go low. I don't know the miles on them, but I am sure its alot.

My Digi2 would not run at all with a bad o2 sensor and would not idle with a bad CTS.76scirocco wrote:I replace temp sender and fixed wiring on Oxygen sensor and it runs great.
