EPC Suggestions

Post by paintballguy424 »

Long time no post. Recently I've been getting the EPC light (Electronic power control) first it would come on but as soon as you shut down the car and restart it the light would be gone. Now, however, its is on all the time. Was curious as to where to start looking for problems. The coil packs were warrantyed out just in May when it was at the VW dealership in town. After I got my car back this problem has started. Faulty coil? MAF? Brake light switch?
Thank you in advance,
Cole

What's up Cole! IIRC EPC errors indicate issues with a wheel sensor or possibly Abs. A scan would tell exactly what the problem is.

Alright took it in had a brake booster vac. line that had a gapping hole in it (parts on way). Used my cheap obd2 scanner tonight to bring up this code.

P2122 Throttle/ pedal Position Sensor/ swithch "d" circuit low input

Could this just be from the EPC light come on? Since I am pushing on the pedal and the computer is "over ridding" the force of my foot on the accelerator.
