Re: first official mk2 build thread!
it wont be a boogier per say, but it will have plenty of go, pretty much a street rod of the vw world, big motor, nice sounds out the tailpipe, decent power, low, with nice wheels and beautiful body work. which looks epic in color!

the re-start inspiration has arrived folks, this guy^ on a suprise visit talked us into bustin it out. if it wasnt for him, it would be an ugly primer shell in the back of the shop still.
also kev, we scored a 92 mk2 jetta parts car, so we is gonna be getting hot soon!

Re: first official mk2 build thread!
your welcome :P im just as excited to see it in color as you guys.. we had some damn good times in that car, im just glad i was inspirational enough to convince matt to get his paintin on
as for your donor i hope the OG 2door rear electrical is still there (if its gone jetta will have extra wires for rear doors).. being a 92 its CE2 so thats good, means vr obd2 goodness will plug-n-play pretty much...
do good work on them harnesses. my old baby killing mk2 was fairly touchy...
im gonna have to make it down one more time before snow hits

Re: first official mk2 build thread!
yeah, rear harness was still in mk2, engine bay is painted, and has a vrsixxxxxxxx in it now, front end sitting on its own self for the first time in well over two years. all electrical is in, sans engine and headlight harness. we need an OBD2 vr6 engine harness tho!!! then we can really get hot, the only other thing we really need, is a downpipe for a VR6 with or without cat would be fine. Kev, see what you can scrounge in helena?

I have one for an automatic. I'll even give you an auto to go with it

It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

as you all know, the car has a happy new owner, Danny. Dan is now putting his own twists on the car to suit his styling, and has been upgrading what he can when he can, here the latest.
