Coming from about a decade of experience with Pioneer product, yellow is constant 12v, red is switched 12v, and black is ground. Now, that being said, I have no idea about anything with this processor. It may be getting some reading from the red wire IN ADDITION to using it as switched 12v, but you will need to connect that wire to some sort of switched 12v. I don't care where you get it, but you need to have it. Just like it says in the manual about 4 posts up. I am not trying to be the wiring nazi here, I am just trying to save you some time with that dang red wire!
