WTB: 12V VR6 shortblock
Well my Corrado needs a new block. All the bores have a pretty good lip around them about half way up that I can catch a finger nail on.
Anyone have a low mileage 12v shortblock?

To get the requirements out on what you want, how low is 'low mileage'? Do you want a rebuild-able core or a ready to build? How about a pulled running motor?
I ask because there's a 12v VR6 Passat at the yard here I was planning on getting a 5 speed from, and maybe the block is OK, but I have no details - Google A1 Johnson's in Billings.
I am wondering why you did a redneck compression test on a perfectly running good motor, instead of performing a proper test. But maybe I'm wrong and you did, I dunno. Not trying to pry, just wondering what your plans are.

^ THIS, and or make a 3.0 litre if the lip is that big, rods should be good to go, and upgrade the piston to suit the boost.

Think outside the (montana shaped) box
Maybe Ben will chime in here.

It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

the machinist in bozeman isnt "set-up" to do it, but assures us he can, hell measure it out on his sunnen bore machine so he has the future capability too.
