VW show in Spokane on June 24th...
I know the show is called the "Bug Fair" but they say that all water-cooled dubs are welcome as well... so I was just wondering if anybody might be going?
Also, if anybody has gone in the past, is it even worth going for us water-cooled enthusiasts??

I think we should all go and have a big cruise over! It's not that long of a drive either. It would be a blast in my opinion.Lucky wrote:I know the show is called the "Bug Fair" but they say that all water-cooled dubs are welcome as well... so I was just wondering if anybody might be going?

About 4 years ago I took 15 dubs to this show, and we pretty much were the watercooled cars. The show is pretty cool, very laid back. It is but on by the River City VW Club, and this will probably be like the 23-24 year they have been doing it. I haven't made it the last couple of years, you know, just schedule confilcts and such. I thought that they were don with it, 'cause nobody was showing up....There is a swap meet section there, and while it is mostly air-cooled parts, you can find some treasures hiding about.......
The folks that put it on are really cool, and realise that the best part of a car show is usually the parking lot, so if you drive a dub of any kind, even if you are not "showing" you can still park in the show area, it is pretty cool of them.
With the explosion of the watercooled scene in Spokane, there may be a bunch of h2o cars there this year. I can put my feelers out to my spokane guys and see what is going on. Maybe this is what is keeping the show alive in the past couple of years.....
I would be interested in this one, if we want to make a large caravan out there, they are always happy to see the watercooleds......

That would definitely be a fun plan!
I'm already down for it, since I'm going to go to the show for sure.
I'm kinda planning on making a full weekend out of it. My friend Tori will be coming with me, and we're planning on staying over-night, so we would only make the cruise over there, and not the return trip, but it would still be a good time, I'm sure.
P.S. Mods, since this looks like it might turn into an event, maybe the topic could be moved to the events forum...?
