Made a milestone today with the help of Matt and Wade. Motor is in!



Here's a mock picture, we actually had an ATV lift thanks to Wade, which made it a snap to put the motor in.



Ran the fuel lines all the way from the outlet of the tank to the regulator and back to the pump, hooked up the resistor pack and half of the double relay, brake booster, and installed the S boot, AFM and filter box.

So the plan is to drive that down on Saturday right?

Naw, not yet. Doesn't turn over, probably something to do with corroded terminals on the solenoid or maybe something in the ignition switch or wire back to the solenoid. Plus I need to wire up the second half of the double relay (reading up now).

Getting good comments on all this work done is major motivation on getting it running, so thanks to you guys. I'm shooting for the Euro Show, but we will see.

It's so worth it when you get to put around. My bus is my favorite vehicle, just don't tell my audi. She'll make me sleep on the couch.

Had to replace the ignition switch, it would do everything but crank the starter. I picked it up on Friday night and had it installed sometime Saturday morning. I was able to get the fuel pump primed and when I had ~40psi in the fuel system I figured I should try to start it up. Here's a quick video:

Well, it starts! But it dies within a few seconds. After doing test after test, today I finally figured I think the injectors are closed shut. With +12V on the injector connectors, solid grounds, coil wired correctly, AFM tested and working (all per Bentley), and 40psi on the fuel pressure gauge, but not seeing any fuel spray on a pulled out injector...I need to have them looked at by a professional.





Tomorrow I am shipping them to Cruzin Performance to have them flow tested and rebuilt. Maybe if I am lucky I can have them back by this next weekend for another round of key cranking
