so ive decided to upgrade my fuel system in my 71 super beetle. ive got a holley red pump and its not very compact so i wasnt sure where to put it so this is what i came up with.

hahaha well thats just kinda the way it had to be mounted but i did get a little creative with line rouing lol.

My super beetle has been in need of some love for a long time so i got a disc brake kit and a new set of shoes for her.
I mSked off the face of the rotors and left the outer edge and inner sections bare for paint to prevent rust developing

I had to have the rotors and drums machined for 4x100 patern

the rears were easy to install just had to remove the axle nut and slide them back on

got the rear wheels all mounted up

for the front yo have to completely remove the backing plate and the existing metal brake line that is on the wheel cylinder. then i installed the cast iron caliper adapters and new hardware.

then i installed the caliper that i painted gold (and yes i put brembo stockers on them, kinda fakey but hey it looks cool) i had to install it to rout the new hardline as the caliper isnt in the same position as the old wheel cylinder.

installation of the front wheels completed the install.

yeah man discs are the way to go. they are way more controlable and if your driving hard you dont have to worry about brake fade. i have discs on the chopped car and have been in situations where if i had drums they would have locked up instantly but the discs never did (not that they cant lock up) and i could keep it under control.
