It has something to do with the circuit board internally from what I have gleaned. A resistor goes out or something. Maybe if SV still has one, I will take it apart and see what I can see.

i just pulled it out of the car. and fouind this tread on the whortex http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3434133 i dont know if this is the fix you guy were talking about. but you can try it. if it works though your going to have to fix the one in my gti!!

Yep, thats the thread. Tried that mod to no avail on multiple modules. I had actually started to engineer a direct replacement but had given up because I need better programing skillz.

Sweaer, if you are willing to donate the module, I will donate the time/skillz. If I get it working, I will fix your also. For some reason I think you wrre in missoula, correct? If so, let's fogure out a time/place for me to pick that module up from you!

yeah im in missoula. if we could ever could get a g2g going then i could give it to you then... so much for jasons idea for a biweekly meeting. im free any time after 5 durning the week or any time on the weekend.

Yeah we should get some sort of end of season gtg thrown together. BTW, does the left rear window regulato work in that car? If so, I could use that also. That I can come pull out if needed.

i dont know if it works but i have it out. im totly down with an end of the season g2g too by the way.

any straight wheels leftover?

Look for earlier cc modules.... i got a factory one from a 250k car (94' gls) that works nice in my 97. has been goin strong for a year now :laughing:
tough to find
(also air tube under battery can get hammered and leak)

i have a set of flyers that are straight if your looking sor some wheels. but i think i need that set off that jetta
