in terms of just a straight swap..... 12v is 100% easier than a 24v..... and yes 12v love boost.
It should speak for itself

All i know was he was firm on 2100 dollars and after a week of not talking to him he texted and asked if I'd do like 19 and i declined, another few days went by and he said well will you still do 15? and i said see you in an hour. Haha
Thats funny because I told the guy I would give him 15 and he was offended. Had cash in hand. Glad someone is going to do something with this car.
No, the kid i bought it from bought it from the guy who wouldn't budge on price. So the kid paid the guys asking price and then i got him down on the price.

I'll more than likely be doing a 12v VRT now, I've been searching around and finding info. Seems like a hella good power plant with the right tune.

I've done some research online here and there and I've come across people making some 300+ hp out of the OBD1 ABA with as little as a cam and turbo set up. I've been considering this option as well, cause the ABA is a cake walk of a swap (I did one once in a rabbit, but never quite finished it before it got towed.. long story). Some thing's I've considered to be positives of this swap are: Ample HP with small mods (ARP studs, head spacer, and valve train), Lighter weight ABA engine, and ease and cheapness of swap. With this being said. This thread is all about options, and I'm doing my research as well. But opinions from members on here are awesome. Most all of you are very knowledgeable people. So shoot me what you think.

Scored an ABA swap with everything including dash for 350, Audi TT wheels for 300. Gonna order the turbo kit on the 1st along with cam and a head spacer w/ arp hardware. I'm gonna go this route for now, I'll look into the VR later on. You know how it is, vw's are a never ending project.

OBD1 or 2?
It's not how fast you go. It's how well you go fast.

Either C2 chip or MS... Idk yet, I'm very uneducated on MS. But I'm reading and studying it.

as a 1992 GTI VR owner, I will say there is no better swap. The VR in the MK2 is heaven!
